Bismarck – The #7 ranked Shiloh Christian Skyhawks beat the #1 ranked Bishop Ryan Lions in convincing fashion on Saturday.
Bishop Ryan’s roster features two of the top players in the state (Mason Hedberg and Ben Bohl), both are recent Minot State commits. The Lions are also coming off a berth in the state championship game last year.
The Skyhawks didn’t seem afraid of the challenge. Shiloh flashed their impressive depth throughout the game. They also showed a willingness to play strong, unselfish basketball.
Shiloh Christian really got rolling in the second half, the Skyhawks shot a blistering 68% from the field in the final two quarters.
Junior Jaden Mitzel finished with a team-high 20 points. Senior Macauley Young scored 19 points while grabbing a staggering 19 rebounds (8 offensive).
Fellow senior Canaan Fagerland dished out a game-high 10 assists.
Bishop Ryan senior Mason Hedberg finished with a game-high 24 points.
