The Shiloh Skyhawks homecoming game against the Beach Buccaneers was a blowout. The Shiloh Skyhawks played their 2018 Homecoming game last friday a night and won 58-6.
When the game began, it seemed like Beach could keep pace with the Skyhawks.The first touchdown of the game was by senior running back Canaan Fagerland with a 53 yard score. Junior quarterback Gage Swanson provided the tying score for the Buccaneers to make it a 6-6 tie.
However, when the second quarter arrived the game became a different story. Shiloh had a scoring frenzy that came from all 3 aspects of the game. The quarter started with a 2 yard touchdown run by Canaan Fagerland and was followed by a 2 point conversion by Trey Brunelle.

A 41-yard completion for a touchdown from junior quarterback Jaden Mitzel to junior wide receiver Trey Brunelle gave the Skyhawks a 20-6 lead. Senior wide receiver Mike Kuehn caught the 2 point conversion to make it 22-6.
Then came the Skyhawks special team play that seemed to close the door on the Buccaneers. Junior wide receiver Cole Walth returned a 54 yard punt to blow the game open, and junior tight end Josh Lardy caught the 2 point conversion to make the game 30-6.

Shiloh forced a three and out and on the ensuing drive. Fagerland ran in a 36 yard touchdown for a score. Fagerland then laid the dagger with a 35 yard interception returned for a touchdown and Shiloh now sits at a 42-6 lead. Brunelle added a 2 point conversion to make it 44-6.
The third quarter began for the Skyhawks with a solid drive capped off by an 11 yard touchdown run from senior fullback Carter Strand to make the game 50-6.
That was followed up by a fourth quarter rushing touchdown from sophomore running back Braiden Kuehn and a 2-point conversion by Isaac Johnson to end the game at 58-6.
Shiloh moves to 5-0 overall (4-0 in the region) and Beach moves to 1-4 overall (1-3 in the region).
